My History of Community Engagement & Volunteer Roles:
COVID-19 Frontline Support: Volunteered at mass vaccination sites during the initial 2020 rollout, administering vaccines and managing patient flow to support public health efforts.ER & Lab Volunteer: Provided supplemental staffing for the Emergency Department and Laboratory during peak pandemic surges, assisting overstretched teams with critical operational needs.Breast Cancer Awareness: Spearheaded a workplace fundraising team for a three-mile walk/run, successfully raising capital for breast cancer research and community education.Pediatric Cancer Camp Chaperone: Served as a dedicated caregiver at a specialized camp for children with cancer, ensuring kids with complex medical needs could safely enjoy recreational activities.CLIMB Tour Program Lead: Led the "CLIMB Department Tours" for Radiation Oncology. Educated cancer patients and their families about treatment protocols, answered clinical questions, and provided emotional support to bridge gaps in care uncertainty.Military Care Relief: Partnered with a local faith-based organization to curate, assemble, and ship non-perishable care packages to soldiers stationed overseas.Lung Health Advocate: Completed the "Fight for Air Climb," ascending 53 flights of stairs alongside the Golden Valley Fire Department to raise funds and awareness for advanced respiratory disease research.Animal Welfare Supporter: Partnered with peers to raise funds and awareness for the American Humane Society through community walking events.
